Hi Bill,

Just stumble upon this thread searching for "zinc." I am very interested in battery technology and fuel cell. One thing I haven't heard mentioned is a fuel cell hybrid car where a fuel cell runs 100% of time to keep electric car batteries charged as well as have enought to maintain level road speeds. I think this combo would be the lightest and be very simple as only a DC to DC converter would be needed between fuel cell and batteries.

Also check out zinc-nickle batteries and fuel cell made by ERC. Looks like they may have a great vehicle battery. Also check out MKTY developing fuel cell home electricity package under name Power-Plug. Also still trying to find information on ASRF a small fuel cell company. Of course there is always Ballard, but largely oversold IMHO.

Bill, Thanks for the elaboration. $14,000 cost of silver alone in a car would make the car very expensive and out of budget for the majority of people. So, from a silver investor point of view, I would not count on this as a potential huge demand for silver. With the fuel cell car closer to reality and potentially having wider use than a pure electric car, one should look into the potential use of silver in this technology. Do you agree?
