Good article on Avalon Research (who has a strong buy on CCUR) in this weeks Barrons. They are a small co, 6 analysts, that is only two years old but their record has been good, averaging 30% on buys and near break even on sales. A couple of things I like about them was 1) they have no financial connection to the cos they cover, all income comes from subscribers (mostly institutions), 2) they do a lot of leg work, visiting, calling, etc., and 3) they don't hesitate to issue sell recommendations if the story changes. Some of their top picks were mentioned by Barrons, mostly big stocks. They are located in Boca Raton which is only a few miles from CCUR. We visited BOCI a couple of years ago in Boca Raton, nice place and our memories are very warm because we made a lot of loot on BOCI. Ken
