Bill, Yeah, a low end Wintel box is cheaper right now but not by much. Those old performas are pretty cheap, at about the same performance as Wintel boxes. I don't care who is king as long as there is no Monopoly. That'd be bad, bad, bad for all of us. True again on sales Tax. I always try to buy out of state. Feel sorry for the small business person in California. Voters are stupid. I had a small business in CA. Was paying 35%+ in Fed Tax + 15.7% SS + 10% State Income + 8.24% sales tax. Also up against inept inspectors et al. For all those educated in CA schools that's 68+% and doesn't include business liscenses, car registrations or taxes on phones, excise taxes etc. By the way, I'm pretty good at avioding taxes. Know all the write offs. Was making good $ but chucked to join the gravy train at UCLA. Idiot voters. Do I sound bitter? Yeah I am. I worked damn hard, supplied good product. I'm too honest for my own good. Only to be harassed by Government leeches. And taxed to death, with lots of the tax $ just wasted on garbage. Think most everybody will move due to taxes in next couple of years. Government will persue levying more taxes. People will move to other countries (I might). Set up servers and banking systems. Time will tell. Doren
