Kevin,

Re: "I think CyberMax pissed off AMD by taking their griping a little
bit too far ..."

Now let's see ... I thought that CyberMax was the customer. If they can't
get product from AMD, they have a right to be "griping". Isn't that how
you would act if AMD had just cost you millions of dollars in lost revenue ... Oh,
that's right, CyberMax should just be quiet and thankful.

That's a "hoot", Kevin ... You obviously have been on this thread too long.
You live in a "fantasy" world.

Make It So,

Kevin - Re: "I think CyberMax pissed off AMD by taking their griping a little bit too far--especially since the K6 was almost completely responsible for CyberMax's success and growth last year."

This is an interesting view point - and one that is the exact opposite of "my take".

CyberMAX was one of only two or three PC companies to "endorse" the K6 when it was launched and as a result was responsible for the early success of the K6 - when no Tire 1's would touch it.

As for CyberMAX pissing off AMD - I doubt that would hurt CyrberMAX one iota. There are bigger and better suppliers of K6 "equivalent" chips, available in any kind of quantity and speed that they might need.

I seem to remember when Intel said they might stop supplying Digital any Pentium Chips, and Digital started to scream at the DOJ...

Now, CyberMax griped and is not getting any chips...Maybe they should take their cause to the FTC/DOJ...
