Robert I thought I was protecting the person who sent me the e-mail! I privately mailed this to two FIBR boosters and hoped they would verify it's authenticity. Only one has responded to me. Guess I know which one is on FIBR's payroll now! I sent Brooks the claim by Market Mover that Brooks was paid to do the test. It must have struck a nerve because they answered me within a few hours! Perhaps I am reading too much into the message, but I find it strange that they did not deny being paid to do the test! Here is the complete message I received from Brooks: From: Bob Ingraham[SMTP:bobi@bfp.net] Sent: Thursday, March 19, 1998 8:25 PM To: snelson@izzy.net Cc: jhrubes@brooks.net Subject: Re: Quick question At 10:57 AM 3/19/98 -0800, you wrote: >The following post was made on Silicon Investor. Our lab does not have any corporate affiliation with any of the vendors tested in the National Data Systems Research Lab in Stockton, CA. Prior to approval, the Gigamux must pass the second phase of the trial within the Dallas, TX metropolitan area network. Please note that testing has not progressed to live customer trials yet and Dr. Hrubes has not approved the Gigamux for network deployment. The initial trial was encouraging but not conclusive. There were many outstanding issues regarding SNMP management, completion of drop-and-insert, and additional wave length. Thank-you for your inquiry.
