Totally off topic Our grand parents lived to be a hundred and ate
bacon and eggs all their lives. Now we find out we can only
safely eat one or two a week.

The incidence of coronary artery disease greatly increased around 1910, about the time that bleached flour came into popularity. The bleaching of flour has been determined to be the number 1 cause for the reduction of daily intake of Vitamin E (d-Alpha tocopherol).

Vitamin E is an anti-thrombin and anti-oxidant that is readily available in wheat bread but not in white bread That is why they could eat eggs and bacon and all kinds of saturated fat and get away with it, not to mention the higher level of physical activity back then.

The govt says we need 15 to 50 IUs a day so, I try and take 1000 to 2000 IUs a day. It is very effective in reducing clotting and athero/arterio sclerosis, and terrific for circulation.
Sorry for the off topic.
