ALL FDM techniques decrement with distance. The 6K distance happens to be for %Mbps BI-directionally, or 10Mbps UNI-directionally (EITHER direction). I don't know the spec (obviously a function of line condition), but I would guess something in the Mbps range at reaches of >18K.
