Stewart--*****off topic****** I'm going to have to insert one of those "under the skin" chips in you--never know which SI boards you'll surface on! two questions: (1) have you any thoughts on CYMI v. UNPH in the laser biz? If my understanding is correct, CYMI has dominant market share in the semi equip side while UNPH seems dominant in telecom side. CYMI looks cheap while UNPH seems fully priced (like you and TLAB, I have been waiting to get in to UNPH since the Ice Age and the damn thing won't cooperate). (2) craig and I shared some thoughts on CIEN in light of recent Lucent and Corning announcements and Gilder's moderately (I stress moderately) negative view that CIEN was "somewhat behind" recent advances in WDM. I was nevertheless sorely tempted when CIEN got pounded and happy to see that craig made some good dough catching the falling knife. I am perplexed by Lucent's meteoric rise though happy as a long--nervous happy I might add. What say you? Regards, Mike Doyle
