Good point but if this thread is just to post new ideas and information then i guess it will consist of about 10 posts a day and most of what you have posted would of been unnecessary as it had already been posted in one form or another. I guess it comes down to we should only post what we want not what others want.

van wang, there's a silly reason we haven't heard yet: "Sell all your CPQ stock, their computers are too fast". Thanks for that real useful info there vw.

I agree with you, but the story you posted scares me.

Too fast: 1) stuff built to run "at machine speed" like games, is poor design. 2) stuff that "crashes" implies timing conflicts, where the programmer "bet" that events would occur in a certain sequence, but didn't assure it.

Sloppy design is sloppy design. Let's weed the bad ones out with the Compaq model - free fast machines for everyone :-)

Too bad about Paychex - I'd have hoped the hometown team would do better.
