"By contrast, patients in clinical trials for the oral medicaition had to have been diagnosed with erectile dysfunction, but had to be able to have sexual intercourse at least once during the lead-in to the clinical trials."

This came from a post by eyedrmike.

If this is true, the two groups that these drugs target are totally different. Has anybody heard a case where muse failed but viagra worked on a patient. IMO anybody who sells here is nuts. One analyst on cnbc said people shoul be careful about viagra expectations. He said that he can remember when Rogaine was supposed to get rid of baldness!

Viagra almost certainly will not work for patients with severe ED such as those who have had diabetes for a long time or who have poor blood supply. Muse will work only for some of those patients. Even the injection doesn't work for everyone, so it certainly doesn't make sense that a pill, given systemically would, does it? I think Pfizer is obfuscating. When their data are published, look at the articles yourself and especially the methods section. See how they picked their subjects. What kind of proof was needed that the subjects were impotent? What subjects were excluded? For instance, were subjects with diabetes excluded? or on certain medications? I don't think there is a single MD on this thread who believes that Viagra will work for 80% of ED subjects.
