Did anyone notice the big volume for April 30 puts (QQAPF)on Friday? The volume was 3342 contracts, which was kind of big. I have been reading "McMillan ON OPTIONS" and just got to Chapter four "The Predictive Power of Options". When I read "A significant increase in the trading volume of a stock's options often is a precursor of movement by the underlying stock", I went to CBOE quote service and checked ASND's option trading on Friday and noticed the unusual large puts volume, which certainly a bearish sign. Would anyone here shed some light on the option activities on Friday? Thanks,

I'm not trying to scare anyone here. After I lost so much money last year (mostly on ASND), I have been trying to learn the mechanism about the market as much as I can. Nowadays, I don't make my investment decision on only fundamentals anymore. I think for Tech stocks, the TA is probably more important (FA is also important), as we'll know many (or most?) tech stocks make a round trip every year. I'm on the sideline on ASND, but I want to get back in and make up the losses from last year. But this time, I'll be more cautious and make the decision based on all the information I can gather.
