Here is the real problem: you have failed to understand that you don't have a soul.

You ARE a soul. Unfortunately your Bible has erased all references to understanding former lifetimes. Not only were the references there, but the concept was a commonly held belief in almost all cultures up until recently. Some 20th century people, like George Patton for example, had no trouble with it. The Kingdom of Heaven is within you, and everyone else.

Hi Jane,

Thanks for your concern. I have just returned from visiting the CBN and TBN websites and I must say I am impressed with their fine work in
being good shepherds.

The out-of-body travels you mentioned is something I myself have experienced from time to time when I was a little child. At first I did not know what they were about: I simply thought they were dreams. Yes, I have been to exquisitely beautiful places where I communicated telepathically with radiant-looking beings; also to places where I was burned at the stake or about to be thrown into a pit of serpents. All these experiences happened when I was about 5 or 6 years old, long before I ever read anything about the Inquisition and out-of-body travel. These scenes are indelibly etched in my consciousness because they happened to me, not once, but many times when I was a little kid. It seems that such experiences occur only to those who are 'psychic'. However, I found that as I grew older, my 'psychic' abilities deserted me by and by. Maybe too much pursuit of scientific studies and analytical reasoning have destroyed it.

I also recall vividly having been in a great cathedral alone. The odd thing about it was there was no trace of a Christian Cross anywhere in it. Someone beckoned me to go to him but I refused. Then one night he appeared with a little boy at the altar. This time the little boy beckoned me to go to him but again I simply remained at my pew. After that, I never saw them again!

Also, in 1992, when I was in Spain, I had an unusual experience in an ancient cathedral in Toledo. The whole place looked so familiar and as I got into the basement, I was able to anticipate what I would be seeing next. At the Escorial in San Lorenzo, I felt faint in one of the rooms and I thought I saw a door in one of the walls. As I came to, there was no door there. The museum personnel later told me that, indeed, there was a door where I said it was, but that it had been long since removed, plastered and painted over.

How would you explain all these, Jane? Reincarnations? Or am I one in
league with .............?

Also, I have had numerous experiences of falling from great heights in my sleep. Some anthropologists explained that such an experiences were probably flashbacks to a time when, as apes and chimps, we had fallen off from treetops during sleep. What a joke!!!

I respect your opinions, too. But rightly or wrongly, I am inclined to the view that man does not yet know everything there is to know about himself. Certain it is that the medical sciences have been making tremendous advances and very soon will be cloning humans. But,
man does not fully understand the psychic part of himself and psychic phenomena. What we don't know, we fear. It is not unlike being afraid of our own shadow! And so, a lot of well-meaning folks, in a rather simplistic fashion, have found it ever so convenient, at times, to blame that Big Dirty/Tricky/Nasty Guy for whatever we find strange/suspicious and fearsome. Perhaps he is having far too many big laughs than he deserves?

However, in my consciousness, I do not discount the existence of the so called Dark Angel. Ever since time immemorial, man has recognized the universal duality of things and of Good and Evil and of Good eventually triumphing over Evil. Personally, I see nothing harmful in getting to know myself a little better beyond the 'sanitized' and simplistic stuff doled out by the self-styled intermediaries of God. The Oracle at Delphi once said, "Man, know thyself!" I am not scoffing at the good work being done by the many Christian organizations, e.g. CBN and TBN and others. However, I find that some characters get carried away so much with themselves that their egos tend to get the better of them with the result that, at times, they appear ever so smug and slick and they tend to treat their "flock" like a bunch of morons (or real sheep). To me, a case in point was Oral Roberts who told his flock several years ago that unless he was able to raise $10 million within a ten-day period, God was going to take him HOME!!! At the eleventh hour, however, some charitable-minded outsider donated the money. But he went to great pains to point out that he donated the money not because he really believed Oral Roberts was about to die, but because he (the donor) would thereby gain a tax advantage and he knew the money was going to help build hospitals and for charitable work.

I believe that man/woman is still evolving. Of course, as with most things, there are the 'baddies'. And all too often, natural processes which, for some, are interpretable as the wrath of God, occur to separate the grain from the chaff, so to speak. Nature ever regulates itself seemingly in accordance with some Divine Intelligence. I am not in the least surprised that El Nino is exacting its toll worldwide. To me, it is a natural weather phenomena which has been exacerbated by man's greenhouse gases, and for which we humans are paying terrible penalties. And what about the immoral ones and the
porn worshippers and addicts? Maybe there will be a replay of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorah pretty soon!
