Was AOL's advance in 1993 a Tulip mania? Evidently not.

Comparing Yahoo to some epic, historical bubble doesn't necessarily make Yahoo's advance a bubble. As a matter of fact, Yahoo is selling for only 50% more than it did six months ago.

If you're short, I can see why you're excited and upset. I would be too. But wishing that Yahoo is something it's not, or that the market background is something it's not, isn't going to make your dreams come true.

If you want to make money shorting Yahoo, look for expectations and momentum to change. Otherwise you're just spitting (or worse) into the wind.
