Vapor!

My warnings about problems with the whole No.hand/Vapor! fiasco have turned out to be true after all.

techweb.com

"The clik! system is an offshoot of Iomega's failed N*hand device, itself basically a trimmed-down Zip drive. N*hand could hold 20MB of data, but, being a magnetic media device, it required a power-hungry, battery-driven drive inside each camera, which proved to be a major turnoff for most digital-camera makers."

So it seems that having Vapor! installed into a camera is a major problem for OEM's after all.

"Iomega is shopping clik!, so far unsuccessfully, as an OEM product for digital camera makers to use as a camera's primary memory, said McGamon."

Still no OEM's for Vapor! and only a couple more months till "The Second half of 1998." DO NOT THINK THAT VAPOR! WILL SAVE IOMEGA. IT WILL NOT.

Get out of IOM long positions now before you wished you could have sold in the $7's.
