Most likely either your keyboard or your cable is toast.
Reseat your connector and reboot for a start. If you
yanked your connector and put it back, non of Win311,
Win95, nor WinNt respond politely to this particular
piquier.

ALWAYS keep a spare keyboard. It's only 30 bucks for a
darn good one.

This happened to me once when I plugged in an old keyboard
(circa 1992) into a new motherboard (ca 1996). I
moved it from a 486 to a pentium and got this problem
exactly. Put it back on a 486 and it behaved.

But I gotta ask: If your keyboard isn't working, really
and truly, how did you ask this question?
