Joe,

I work for the New York Times. They own the Boston Globe, many other newspapers, television stations, radio stations and so on. It is going to cost of 100's of millions to get up to date by Y2K. I work in their IT section for several newspapers. We know we will not be Y2K compliant by the Y2K for all our properties. The main business systems will be compliant but there is way to many little miscellanious items that we just do not have time to fix. We will probably be having each site buy software to test every PC in all of our properties to make sure we do not miss that little non-compliant motherboard or something else in each PC that we might miss. The NY Times has well over 100K PCs (probably closer to 200K) across all their properties.

I am recommending them to use Cashco's software for each site. The software is easy to use and not very expensive (compared to others on the market). Working in their IT section and with the Y2K problem at hand, I or any other person working in the section does not have time to physically test each PC in the organization. With this software we can have a designated person at each site run it themselves and summarize the compliance.

I've been in Cashco since Nov. 97, I did not get out when it was .94 last month. IMO this stock could be a $2.00 stock just with the Y2K software. If you ad the kitty litter product to this it can even go more than that. There are also a number of other software products going to announced soon.

This is a good company and I think I will stick with them for the long haul. They have strong management with good marketing skills.
