This one year target projected by Yorkton for IFM comes as a surprise. There was an interview done on a french program last week and they were saying how they were ahead of other e-commerce security providers by six months. They has big institutions as clients from all over the world. It was quite interesting.

I think your comments are right on - I have a sense that some pretty fundamental things are happening with IFM's revenues. The partnerships forged previously are pretty impressive and if all goes as expected, we could have an earnings explosion in '98. There was an end of quarter on Feb 28 so hopefully expectations around that is what's causing the current runup.

I didn't see anything in the FP about a strong sell in so many words, though I did notice Pavan's 12-month target of $4.50. Many Canadian analysts are simply out of it when it comes to techology companies, especially those based in Montreal.

Your comments about Yorkton's motivations may also have something to do with it - not unusual for brokerages to tout stocks they're trying to unload for a big client, and vice versa.
