OFF TOPIC No, not too personal. I am also into the SVB play on a small scale, but don't need to follow them much. If you look at the performance for the past while, you will see they need no following. Announcements of spring drilling programs to come very shortly. For anyone wanting to learn how MMs do there business, see threads labrador, donner, abitibi. The boys there (Ed and Jim, Mr. Metals) do a very nice job on reporting accurate information on what they're up to. My investing approach is to identify companies trading at near year lows, do sufficient D&D to warrant risk. I look at the highest 52 week price and divide it by half. If I can stand to gain 400 to 500% by reaching only half of year high, I will then commit XXXX number of bucks to it, and buy on down dips. Oh yeah - the stock must have sufficient volume to enter or exit very quickly. On NP, the company seems to be very well diversified, with a solid cash flow that like fine wine and women - will only improve with age. Gold is only part of their holdings. Silver, oil, copper, and a successful telecommunications company is the other part. This company will not have to seek very much in the way of private placement if needed at all. They are quiety improving net worth....... On Medinah - I follow it only because NP's price is tied to it, and by watching MDIN I get a fairly accurate picture of the direction of NP price a day or so in advance. I do not hold any MDIN because I don't think they have enough going for them. If their present acquisitions don't prove out, where would I (my stock)be? They have already abandoned work on many of their other properties, and although not stated probably have for sale signs on them. For now NP is content to ride their coattails, but will soon outclass them anyway IMHO. I think Handshake is right when he says they may come out with production numbers. Money talks... As to MINE, who cares if they have booked a night flight for their chief geologist? The area is historically correct, they have operating mines (though marginal thanks to El Nino), plans to increase production and reduce cost. Even if the management sucks air, the properties are very real. Got in at .08 a couple of weeks ago,and its steadily gaining everyday. The goodies are in the bag (1000 assay results) and will be released over a period of time starting end of month. Since I have only 2 more cents before relinquishing 50% of holdings and recouping original investment, the rest will be all gravy (or crawdads in Handshakes case). Even if its a scam, Im still going to make money on it, or break even at the very least. POG??? Can't stay down forever. I follow what the banks are buying and selling, and if they are a net holder or seller. This information is listed in various Exchange websites, and give a good picture of where price is going. Those banking boys have the upper hand when it comes to being in the know. In any stock I buy, I am prepared to hold on to it for at least three years, so any little fluctuations like we've seen lately doesn't mean didley in the long term. Now please, please, can I have them links now???
