Hi Dennis a lot of intrigue , but its honest :>)

Remarkably J. Cannavino left Perot System on 7/25/97 , just before Amelio left AAPL , but after S. Jobs began his "takeover".

JC , before leaving Perot Systems , signed a deal with ORCL supporting their software and Amelio says L. Ellison/ORCL had a hand in his removal.

Maybe but Amelio was damaged goods as CEO in 1/97 when he took his 4Q bonus knowing AAPL was bleeding to death and was almost canned then .

JC sits on a Miliken Board and Miliken is a partner with L Ellison in Knowledge Universe , but this is normal corporate incest.

JC and Gates are not friendly , and MSFT's last minute $150 mln investment (11:00pm 8/5/97) may have kept JC out of AAPL .

JC and Jobs are friendly as IBM (JC) invested in NeXT as did Ross Perot . Also worth considering is that something stopped AAPL from selling to IBM a few years back.

The company benefiting most from that failed merger is MSFT as the Mac OS in IBM's hands then would have challenged Windows .

Proxy info on a buy out may be needed as Amelio set up a AAPL take over defense with Goldman Sachs.

Regards,
Jim K.
