Sergio, Well hello there. I have returned from the land of the lager and ale. But I am sorry to report, I learned nothing about specific euro dollar software stocks. I listened and read, and even called my old bank there, but they could tell me nothing. I get the feeling that until the actual event takes place, they will hesitate to purchase any programs. the bank told me they are considering revamping their old software to conform. I find this hard to believe. But i get the feeling they are waiting and watching. The financial channels over there don't get very specific about stocks. they just give a general overview. I read 4 financial mags and came away with nothing. I will say though, that the euro is all the talk there. The general concensus is that banks, and larger stores will get in right away. But at least in the UK they will keep 2 sets of currencies for a while. I get the feeling that not everyone is a believer. This economic union is going to run into some hitches at the beginning. This past week for example, the French workers struck the port of Calais for 24 hours protesting the proposal from the EU that all duty free sales be eliminated. This will lose quite a few jobs. All in all, when the time comes for the conversion, there will be a call far and wide for the software, very quickly. I think that there will be a great competition from all software companies. But, I think the big boys will win out. In talking to some of my European friends, they think that initially it will be extremely nasty, with everyone setting their own agenda. But don't rule out Microsoft. Just a hunch, but I can see them becomming the universal guys on this one. But, I will be interested in seeing what you came up with during my absence. I will read all the 528 posts since I was gone. Wow!!! this thread has been busy. Well Serg, sorry I failed in my mission, but I did have a great time!! Smiling but jet lagged out, Redhead
