RE: I think what makes him most happy are those calls that describe listener investment successes and avoidances of sharks. I think one has to realize Brinker already lives in "the land of critical mass" where he likely has just about every material thing he wants.

Pete: Once again, your careful and deliberate thinking has uncovered the critical points. I too agree that BB likely has all the material things, including Pings, he wants. And I would concur that he likely gets a good deal of satisfaction hearing calls similar to the two "critical mass" stories heard on his show yesterday. (Wow, how many 37 year-olds do you know with $2M net worth?)

Nevertheless, I bet the thought of a few SI threaders sending him a set of golf clubs would put a smile on his face, regardless of how silly it seems on more careful consideration.

PS: As a fellow CPA, I know just how hard it is to be silly - usually my activities are altogether too serious. ;-)

Regards...Bill S

Re"Second, how could you be assured that the new set of PINGS were the right size and brand preferred by Brinker ? How could you know if he already has a set of PINGS he's happy with?"

Oh well, it was just a gesture of appreciation. Bob Jr. could get the clubs (PINGS, Taylor Made, etc.)sized for him so he didn't have to pack his own when he visits. I'm sure Bob doesn't play alone. I think its great that we are doing well enough to discuss the merits of golf clubs <g>. Oh the musings in a roaring bull market!

DOW 9,000 used to seem so far away
