Hi Bob,

Here's a post of mine from last July. At the time NOVL was trading in the upper mid 6s. I had recently increased my long position from 4K shares to 10K shares to get an average price in the upper 7s. I was just about the only cautiously optimistic person on the thread at the time. I took $20K profit on my stock 3-4 weeks after that post.

I don't have a problem with people expressing opinions about things they don't know anything about. I've done it on occasion myself and usually get flamed as a result. Good luck on your $45 price target.

Regards,

Don

"Novell will pop a point in response to the Barron's article"

Maybe you got the point of my post. But in case you didn't, here it is again. Some investment houses (I would love to know what type they are) have acquired MILLIONS OF SHARES of Novell over the past whenever. That explains much of the big block share action going on in the stock. (At least to me.)

The significance of this is that these guys have a real stake in seeing the stock go up, up, up. They have just picked another pony to ride betting 50 million on it. Their assessment of the fundamentals however looks flawed.

So perhaps if you were a smart investor you would recognize this ride may be an opportunity but also a bust (should their expectations dampen or should they conclude it is the time to dump because the stock has been milked to the max).

So at what price did you buy into the stock?
