While how to evaluate IOM true value.

1) Do you think all of sudden CPQ can't sell any computers? Sale far below expectation for the No. 1. There is a simple reason which is home users delay purchase before Windows 98 release, these new users don't know how to upgrade, know nothing about drivers. They are going to buy after Windows 98 release. DELL is firm because corporate user shouldn't have problems to upgrade OS.

2) Stocks correct every 9 months, Oct 95, june 96, jan 97, aug 97
and next may 98. 14M short they will take profits whenever there
is correction, Look IOM, each time NASQ drops, IOM rebound somewhat.
So you can bet on short covering in 2 months.

3) IOM gave warning at a time that there is no way to calculate J2 sale, for people who have been waiting for J2 for months would delay purchasing J1. So we have a window! and as indicating on this board that recent J2 sale is strong, we should have positive earning surprise. Break even maybe. The estimate from IOM should be conservative given the environment.
