<I do know Ascend was asked about its SS7 capabilities in a recent tech conference and Ashby answered, "An effort is under way now. No announcement at this time." It appears NN is ahead in this regard. I don't know where Cisco stands. I do know their jobs' listings include a pile of requests for SS7 expertise: cisco.com (do search under SS7)> Pat, I was shocked when I searched Ascend's site and found only meager reference to SS7. While I am long Ascend for other reasons, as you are, I have to think NN has the advantage on the telco side of the WAN. Regards, bp
