Luc,van,re:"Buffet.". Good news if from Buffet. Watchout if from 'leak'. Last time people 'Knew of buffet's accumulation of Silver", it had a spike and you know what. Look at the business environment of CQP/PC box makers (which I don't know). But buy/sell based on rumor/Buffet's news, you better have as much money as he has to control. Win98 may(and may not) be enough to give PC/Box maker a spike. A guy on 'wall stree weekly(title?) on PBS said he would buy CPQ with $7 more on the down. Usually, these guys just tell you wait while he is accumulating. I think CPQ was $23 5/8 last Friday. My gut feeling is you will make money if you have the time/horizon and stomach. That guy tells me it is OK buy around $23. Great buy around $20. I don't think he will wait until ($23.5 - $7) to start nibbling. Once the IRA season is over, I think the market will take a breather and the WS news room will drum on 'flu-effect', Again? Please. The market is very defensive, they will buy 'conservative stock' even if the PE is 50+, like (KO,CL,G,....), the stocks that the IRA money can wait for earning to catchup in years, unlike tech-stocks that a new paradigm change will KILL you for YEARS.
