Maxwell, native PII systems will probably bottom out at $1000, with Intel's "Basic" PIIs taking the $500-$1000 segment. Margins at these prices will still be Intel-like, if Intel can get about 10% or so sales on the high-end PIIs. IMO, AMD has badly missed their profit window for K6 due to yield problems. Who knows what might have happened if IBM-AMD teamed up 18 motnhs ago, but Jerry's bravado probably blinded him for seeing a potential opportunity with IBM. Now, more losses for the next couple of quarters. good luck.

Maxwell - Re: " the winner is the one with the SMALLEST DIE SIZE, HIGHEST NET DIE/WAFER and LOWEST PACKAGING COST.":

So who has been the winner this past quarter?

This past year?

Two years ago?

Three years ago?

N years ago?

Don't you spot a trend here?
