I remember reading articles about a year ago quoting Intel execs that they wouldn't get into a price war with K6 and that they would keep their prices stable. Well, we know that hasn't been the case. Andy will accept a short-term hit if it means longer-term success. IMO, they might have been a bit premature given AMD's yield situation, but you have to agree that the effects on AMD has been substantial. I guess we'll see how it plays out... joey
