I also notice that the ratio of specialists and members to public shorting is not particularly bearish, though maybe some of these folks will change their minds tomorrow because of a rise in oil prices. The really ignorant buyers may be poised to come on in, and there may be some more shorts that panic and cover. So bearish as I am, I am not prepared to predict an immediate decline. It just does remain true, though, that by any past standards most stocks are priced at least double what they are really worth.
