anyone reprint carl johnson on amat, regarding ipec, i'm short a little-this would be somewhat bullish if we start to see some buying in this group. i've been hearing for a while ipec will be bought-so we will see-people swore to me that intel was buying cypress semiconductor(cy) at 20 a couple months ago if people remember. cypress trading around 8 today. if any companies are targets i think it could be TSEMF,EGLS, KLIC, BUT i think you will not see any buying until probably the summer when the management have a clearer view on whats going on. i'm still looking for a panic selloff. regarding carl johnson, i don't think this is 1996 but i don't see an uptrend or a bottom any time soon either. i personally would not go long unti this summer or after a panic selloff. it usually when no one expects it.
