While having a heart attack at Stony Brook Hospital--not to miss an opportunity to promote VASO-- I asked about the potential of EECP. The ER attending, a friend, told me that they are planning research about the effectiveness of EECP in the emergency room. Stony Brook is one of the research centers for VASO. I was shocked about the lack of awareness on the part of cardiologists of EECP, which I'm sure <gg> was not motivated by financial incentives, but I did talk to friends who worked in the EECP unit. They are truly excited by its potential.

My prediction is that there will be a war betwen the surgeons and the "regular" cardiologists and internists about evasive vs. non.

I'll probably try it next time to clear more arteries.

PS--the clot dissolvers dissolved the clot before any coronary damage. This field is advancing at mechanical, sugical, and physiological levels!
