A little humour....

Our lager,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink.
Thy will be drunk, (I will be drunk),
At home as it is in the pub.
Give us this day our foamy head,
And forgive us our spillage's,
As we forgive those who spill against us.
And lead us not to incarceration,
But deliver us from hangovers.
For thine is the beer, The bitter and The lager.
For ever and ever.
BARMEN.

Charles, it is my impression that FTEL sells a small amount of telco equipment and plans to make money selling stock (this time in FNET).

Since the FNET IPO will be a separate company (if it ever happens), I didn't go into detail as to what they will be doing, but FNET will be getting a cut of each IP phone call made using WCOM's internet backbone via its collocation agreement with them. FTEL will prosper as FNET prospers for two reasons:

1) they will have a large position in FNET
2) they will be selling equipment to FNET

FTEL has an IP product called the Tempest which is generating a lot of excitement, but so far has not resulted in a storm of sales, like some may have expected. For me to take the Tempest seriously, I want to see some type of storm by June 30, 1998. Based on some past press releases by FTEL, I've been disappointed. Based on that, I am leary about anything they say- UNTIL THEY PROVE IT to me.

In a few more months, since the demos will have been out for some time by then, I should have a good idea whether or not my caution was justified (though I am trading FTEL now).

I would like to hear your answer to your own question: "What is your perception of what FTEL does and How do they plan on making money???"
