....which rumour ? If it's the MPD/HP-Avantek alliance. I've heard that Lucent is not involved but that MPD's initial IPO venture guys are going to put together another round of stock to buy HP/Avantek. That's going to be a hard sell if it's MPD stock but maybe it'll be a cash transaction.

It looks like MPD's venture capital company and largest stock holder is negotiating w/HP/Avantek to purchase that PA company in Folsom, CA. It would be good for MPD as HP has a factory and MPD has engineering as in competance. It's like throwing good money after bad in my mind though, as MPD has'nt made any money in years, let it die.
