Don't believe me? Ask a big six firm, ask an informed industry analyst, ask and let me know what you learn. Ok, I'll bite. I work at a big firm and can tell you if they don't have the work in process right now, they are in deep crap. Fixing and testing that much code take more time than there is left to the year 2000. Contract awards should be peaking by now if not already. If a Y2K fix-it company is not announcing that they are receiving contracts by now it is not likely to make it.
