You are very right in your thinking here Henry. But that is exactly what we are called to do. I say "we" as in many . We are called to action by visiting widows and orphans in their distress, inviting one to a feast who cannot pay you back, forgive those who sin against us, give to the needy without fanfare, etc, etc. etc. We can do all this and be "salt and light". WHY?????

Because HE FIRST LOVED US!!!!!!!!

And you are right again. We, as a society, need to "give" up a lot of the "rights" we think we have, and "take up our cross".If we do then we will be blessed.

Thanks for those thoughts.

Dearest Henry,
These people speak well of me but their hearts are far from me. I know and agree with you , Jesus also said, The man that hears these words of mine and DOES what it says is like the man that built his house on the rock. It does not seem to connect allot and there is this desire to set their own standards today, no absolute right or wrong and this reminds me of the flood. God said they do what is right in their own eyes and Jesus said in the end it will be like the days of Noah giving in marriage etc.. to me that is doing what is right in their own eyes and not measuring their actions by Gods standards. It is not easy but is the way to life and is a lifelong goal to let the Messiah overcome in us so we can come closer and closer to His ways. Thank you for your post for it is right on. I wish people that are sincere would say they are followers of Jesus for the term Christian has been stomped on by so many it is a confusing title now. This is just a title and not the Name on which we all believe and some even seem to worship this title as well, as though it was sacred. May the Lord bless you in every way this week, Nancy
