Briefing.com has been anti-Microsoft for over 2 years now. They have always had a "cautionary" rating and "too rich" for our blood opinion on it and yet the stock has quadrupled in that time. I have sent them several letters about this and the answers have come back lame. They basically read "the stock is overvalued in our opinion and we just want people to be cautious". Ever hear about making money, duh? Frankly, the people there must be a bunch of m----s!

I must admit that I am just a simple and humble MSFT shareholder.
I base my thinking on the following bullets

-there are more windows based machines today than in 1995. Thus there are more possible upgrades available now than in 95, and more new units being sold now than in 1995.

-many companies requested that MSFT not put out an update in 1997 as they were still transitioning from 3.1 to Win95 and did not need a third version running around. These companies are ready to upgrade now.

In my humble opinion, Win98 will measure up to and in all likelihood exceed the numbers set by Win95.

I don't give much for Briefings opinion these days. Recently they have plugged FINE to shoot up from around 7 - they are now 4 1/2. Another miss is ESTI they predicted to crash from around 9 to around 6 - they are now 11 1/2...

They don't fail to mention whenever they do hit it right though, but I can't help thinking about the monkey picking stocks using a dart set.
