OK, gang, while it is still fresh in our minds:

OPEC can't influence the oil market anymore??

Give me a break. ANY outfit that controls 40% of ANY commodity can make the bulldog sit up.

As far as it "holding" -- that is basically irrelevant in the long run. The important thing is, they've put oil back in play -- it's come off the death-watch. Hell, it's all psy-chology anyway. If it was fundamentals, we'd all already be rich.

But that's the point: When you've got the fundamentals, all you have to do is wait for any one of a dozen possible events to change investor psychology -- as has been pointed out by a number of people on this thread during the periodic mass-suicide meetings here since January. ( "Oil is dead, drillers are through for at least two years, or until Asia clears up," etc. etc.)

Purple Kool-Aid will NOT be served at the Rig party!
