More on using PEAK Jet. Use NetMagnet if you can get it . It has a lot more features and includes PeakJet. If the new posts seem to be coming up slow, you can "pause agents" since they may be out refreshing your other favorites. You can pause agents or turn cache off anytime. HOW: 1. With NetMagnet, click on the center button, choose "pause agents" and/or "cache off". This can be useful on SI since you don't necessarily want to cache all the threads you visit and old stuff. Cache off will let you see your own posts faster. However if you go to thread that has a lot of posts you haven't read, leaving the agents and cache on will make it a lot faster. I have tried browsing SI with and without PEAK Jet, I think we make the site much faster, but it will take a little while for you to see it. When you load our products for the for the first time they are just like a new browser, empty. It takes a while for them build up a profile and cache. They should get faster and faster over the first few days. Remember to turn the agents and cache back on if you have paused them. The box will be flashing to remind you. With PeakJet, click on the configure button, select cache, select advanced, choose pause cache and /or cache off. Same results. By the way it is a good idea to pause agents for any "streaming" content like audio/video since you need all the bandwidth you can get.
