RE: Request For Number of Alpha Processors Shipped in 1997

I am trying to obtain the number of Alpha Processors DEC has shipped in 1997. I was able to obtain a figure of 300,000 Alpha's shipped in 1996 via a quote from a Datatquest analyst in a Techweb article, but haven't had much luck getting a number for 1997. If anyone can provide a number and a URL of the source, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

MW

Why is the Justice Dept spending any time on this deal? I don't see any antitcompetitive issues especially in light of the recent price decline of CPQ. CPQ nor DEC obviously have no pricing power; otherwise their earnings wouldn't have laid goose eggs this quarter. I can see MSFT being investigated but the Justice Dept is out of bounds here I think.
