Came across this thread while looking at new threads:

"Canadian Stocks Seem Scary" -

Subject 19916

Thought it fitting while watching my ECGOF go lower and lower.

Reply to the comment that ECGOF might be viewed as an oil sector stock today - NOT - that would only happen if oil sector stocks are going down, when they are in a good light, ECGOF is not considered an oil stock.

Valuespec...

I think that there are two ways to invest. If you invest by charting and view the markets reaction to a stock by virtue of price and volume movement, you don't care what mis-truths are told to get you interested. On the other hand if you look at the 10k's etc and try to reason out the quality of a company you might do well, assuming you don't get caught up in hype and little mis-truths. This company put out one of the most complicated 10k's that I have seen, and it looks like the story is dependent on other 10k's as well. It all makes fascinating reading.

Averaging down is against the rules, but it is often done. My only complaint about these threads is a lot of people do seem to speak with half a loaf in hand.. (myself included)

Being negative about the company for the 1.08 thing is running on half a loaf for my money. Anyhow my query about EIF, was because I see that there is a story to it that would be interesting and useful to clarify.
