Oh dear, Mr. Satan! I do not want Hell brought to this thread. Some of the Christians here are tolerant and loving people, and I do not believe that they should be damned. Anyway, who are we to judge? It is that judgmental aspect of some Christians that I really, really find obnoxious and abhorrent. But really, Mr. Satan, aren't you just a fallen Christian angel? I am not a Christian, but I can tell you that the concept that good and evil are totally polarized, and come from different places, does not exist in all religions and belief systems. Some of us believe that everything inside us, good and bad, is there for a reason, and that if we listen and stay watchful and aware, we learn. I personally believe evil is caused by bad, cruel child rearing practices. Children are born ready to receive love and attention and approval, and when that does not happen, then that is truly evil and very sad and unfair. It is damaged children who carry evil into the larger world, because they are angry and hateful. A really well-treated child will never inflict pain and evil on other humans, because those bad feelings have not been created inside him. Of course some of the "Christians" practice really bad child rearing in my opinion, brainwashing their children into a particular belief system instead of letting them develop and make sense of the world on their own. Another thing I don't like about some Christians is that they teach their children hate, ignorance, and fear, homophobia, intolerance and racism. So anyway, Mr. Satan, you were created by the Christians. A pox on their house, or whatever!!! Go bother the mean and spiteful ones if you can find them, but please do not destroy the harmony here so many of us are trying to achieve. All this talk of good and evil and Satanism is pure nonsense!! Blessed be!!! Away with you!!! Christine

Mr. Satan, I saw you over on the SI Satanists thread, and so perhaps you have already read this url which flickerful posted to me over there and was kind enough to say I could bring over here as well. qed.net Now of course it was written by a Neo-Paganist, so it is a little about their belief system, but mostly it examines all the different kinds of Satanists, and I think you will probably agree with their conclusion that Satanism is really mostly a conservative Christian creation. I also liked how the url pointed out that many intolerant people KNOW the difference between pagans and Satanists, but continue deliberately to confuse them to smear the pagans. Anyway, while the SI Satanists thread is a really great one, I was concerned that perhaps some people may have missed this over there, and so I wanted to repost it. I wish Jane would read it!! Christine
