Apparantly dropping below 19 3/4 means we're going to 19 5/8. In the long run we're going up in a major way.

God forbid that the Dow being down 100 should be able to take a quarter point off of Cymer's price.... or send Oracle, Ascend, and Compaq up a point and a half!

Sematech gets a new person to head its lithography efforts.....
techweb.cmp.com

The politics:

<<A Sematech spokesman said the change in lithography directors will not
have an impact on the program. He said naming a new director from
Siemens, which champions ion-beam projection as a next-generation
lithography tool, will not play a factor in the program. He added that
Sematech's program was not influenced by the fact that Brown was an
employee of IBM, which has been a champion of x-ray lithography.>>
