Joe, thanks for pointing out nothing the longs didn't already know in your post letting me know I wasn't saying anything the longs didn't already know. I think 3Com will make a profit this quarter, did I say they weren't going to make a profit? I said they would miss estimate badly.....read the post......I believe 3Coms' inventories are WORSE than people think, which would be a surprise, or I wouldn't be short, get it? The speculation in the market today was that inventory problems were under control. I am a short term trader(very successful I might add) and have been long 3Com as much as I have been short, I am simply playing the earnings release to the downside. From my perspective if you are currently long, you lack perception with regards to the current state of the business, you could buy in at lower prices from here......so yes, please buy more, I will just continue to short the stock at higher prices, and reap the profits on the way down..... the Vinman, pretty, making all the girls blush....
