I am a photographer.

Clik! is too slow for serious cameras like Nikon. As it stands, even flash memories are too slow for Nikon motordrives. The time that it takes to save the image is the SUSTAINED rate at which pictures can be taken. For flash memories like CompactFlash, it is around 1 picture per second at most for 1000x1000 3 bytes resolution (minimum resolution for professional photography).

Besides, Clik! with its moving parts will never make it to the tough mechanical operating environments of professional cameras. The only chance Clik! has is as a off camera storage, but then there is hard disk.

It has been years since Clik! has been announced if you count its original name "no hand" (I don't recall exactly). Only today, IOmega found its first official backer. It is something to think about.
