You can go to you local CompUSA or whatever and see how the inventory problem is working out. Two weeks ago I went and there were 3 56K X2 modems on the shelf. Yesterday I went and there is a new shipment of 3COM modems packaged as V.90 and X2 compatible.

From what I have seen there are still a lot of unsold 33.6 modems out there and that is what COMS will have to write off, unless they already have. Anyway the number of COMS modems (33.6 & 56K) on the shelf today is less than half of what there was 2 months ago. It appears to me that there has been a drastic reduction of inventory in the retail stores.

CS is becoming like SHVA--a non-event to the market.
