Macromedia (MACR): We added Macromedia to the Raging Portfolio on Thursday with a purchase of 750 shares at a price of $12.375. This software company is best known for its web based Shockwave multimedia plug-in. The company appears to be turning the corner after some mis-guided strategies in the past by focusing on Internet related software solutions. Recent products that have won critical acclaim include ShockRave, FreeHand, Fireworks, Flash, and Dreamweaver. The latter is an HTML editing program that is winning rave reviews from industry press, as well as from our own contacts in the web development field. Dreamweaver is hot! We believe Macromedia's hot new webcentric products could drive the stock up nicely in the near future. Look for an in-depth report on the company soon.
Update: As of March 20th, 1998
