Sheila; I may have over stated the short situation, or said it in a way that sounded like a squezz..but really it won't be one in the normal sense that will make her jump way up real fast..as she is traded heavy..has a lot of shares..in fact what you saw today was a bit of covering..maybe more covering than real buying. I was mostly concerned about the little shorts getting bit and picked off..while the brokerage houses took them for a ride.. after all even a couple of dollars lost in a short position is lost and gone..unlike the long who is waiting it out..the stop loss buy thingy triggers and takes the money..if they all covered we still need some buyers to come in..to really get her moving. Maybe 6% to 7% short now thats like 24-1/2 + 6% or 7% till we get some buyers..it could be more..a lot more if we don't get any real sellers, or people wanting out at 25 or 26, that my guess on some resitance for a while. While 23 seems to be support, if we tear through 26 then it's up and away. But I'm just allful with this short term stuff..let the DEC deal finnish in about 3 to 4 months..and we will be snug as a bug. Don't let the bugs on the windshield keep you from seeing what's up the road. By the time the Analcyst upgrade her they will have bought in. Jim I noted she started the day much like usual..then when the news was first given out about 11:06 as to the EC Ok on the DEC & CPQ marriage some volume came in and she started up.. from 23.75 to 24:50 by 12...yet Reuters didn't release it till 12:57..wonder if they had some friends that needed to cover before they released it..Business wire was timely. --------- Jim
