Ignacio, I am under a lot of surveillance all the time. Big deal!! Everything that gets posted here is very public. I post a lot, and on the occasions when I have not thought it all out beforehand, it is still something I said. If it is a horrible post I will probably try to clean it up at some point or something, but really I do not feel that I always have to think for an hour before I say something and weigh every nuance three times. I think the comment I made that you are referring to in your post is that you are the only person I ever felt I should leave the Feelings thread entirely, because you just disrupted it so much and made it so unpleasant, and really almost destroyed it as I recall. But that was a long time ago, Ignacio, and I am always willing to give people a second chance, just as I am grateful to have gotten some second chances myself. But you know what? To me a second chance is maybe a last chance, something that is special and something to take seriously. At least that's the way I look at it when I am given one. The entire problem with you at Feelings, Ignacio, is that unlike almost everyone else here, you feel that people should do exactly what you tell them to do, and think precisely as you have instructed them. You got more and more insistent that I take back my words about Bill Clinton. I mean, who cares? My feelings are my feelings, and this is a forum for expressing feelings. You give me WAY too much power if you think what I say is going to topple a Presidency, or even sway any other opinions at all, and I still do not understand why I should take back my opinion, and so I am not going to do that. You are very, very smart, and very highly educated. There are specific areas of some of the subjects that are discussed here, and at Ask John Galt, where you are probably the most expert person talking. But almost everyone here has a huge brain, or advanced degrees, or is a stunning writer, or has a big, generous heart or is just wonderful at making money in the stock market, or is very, very rich or extremely funny or whatever. It seems to me that what alienated people from you in the first place is that you started presuming that you were somehow superior to them, and I know from my own experiences that such an attitude will make you very unpopular very quickly in this forum. I do very much want you around, Ignacio. But if having you around is, as you say, conditional on my digesting things that you tell me, not just acknowledging them, then that creates an unequal relationship where you are trying to control me, and I have no interest in that. I am really quite startled that this is all happening, and very puzzled, quite frankly. I think you need to decide whether you can interact on an equal footing with the others who are here, without presuming to tell them what to think or say, because that is the only attitude that really will work.
