David, yes I was surprised by bond strength today. I was, and still am, expecting interest rates to rise sharply. The TV talking heads were all trying to minimize the effect of rising oil prices today, some even sai it was good for the market. What people don't seem to realize is that just flat oil prices would make inflation much higher than it has been with falling oil prices. The trend reversal in oil prices is big news that has not yet sunk in.
