That's right - and that will happen on April 15 when Intel's Pentium II line becomes the first volume line of 100 Mhz motherboards.

If you can wait until then, and don't mind spending more for a Pentium II with a 100 MHz MB, you can be state of the art for a few months!

Otherwise, everything and anything you buy today will be outdated by April 15. Of course, K6/Pentium MMX/Cyrix MB's (Socket 7) may not be reliably available in 100 MHz flavors for quite some time.
