Fixer, you can do worse than to check out what Scott Mc is into. He's not the cowboy you and I are, but I think he makes a buck or two, and probably doesn't lose as much as us out of the gains. As far as Midland being 'on board' - yes, somebody over there is, they show up on the buy side quite a bit - but they don't formally cover Alpine. According to the Investor's Digest, only Brant and Acumen cover it, both have it rated buy, Brant says the FY97 bottom line coming out tomorrow is .20, and Acumen says .18.

I wonder if it will sell off on the news? Even good news seems to bring out cheap stock nowadays in the resource sector. So I laid some cash aside .... ya never know
